Lauren Cuthbertson is a principal ballerina for the Royal Ballet, and patron to the National Youth Ballet.
At the age of 8 I started to take ballet lessons from Ankara State Opera. At first, my goal was not to be a ballet. But in time I fell in love with this art. After a while, my ballet teacher in State Opera has invited to join the shows there. When I first showed up in the Opera, I realized that I wanted to do this profession all my life. After working as a child actor in State Opera, my teacher asked me why I did not get my chance at Hacettepe Ankara State Conservatory. I entered and won the exam at conservatory.
I am now trying to do my best. I know that I have to exceed myself every day.
This is what I want to do whole my life long.
Frankly, I am actualizing every moment my dreams.
But of course I have future plans. First of all I would like to dance at the first 10 Classic Ballets in the world. My favorite choreographer is Marius Petipa. So dancing in Don Quixote would be great. Also Nutcracker is every ballet dancers dream.
There are some very exciting dancers who are realy inspiring me. On the top of them is Barishnikov placed. Daniil Simkin and Carlos Agusto are my other favorites. Of course I have to pronounce the name of Burak Kayihan, who is an excellent dancer in Turkey.
